How To Build Your Own Drone

Drone is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) (or uncrewed aerial vehicle, commonly known as drone). It is an aircraft without a human pilot on board and a type of unmanned vehicle. Drones are a component of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS); which include a UAV, a ground-based controller, and a system of communications between the two. The flight of Drone may operate with various degrees of autonomy: either under remote control by a human operator or autonomously by onboard computers

How Drones Work
A Drone is made of light composite materials to reduce weight and increase maneuverability. This composite material strength allows military drones to cruise at extremely high altitudes.

Drones are equipped with different state of the art technology such as infrared cameras, GPS and laser (consumer, commercial and military UAV). Drones are controlled by remote ground control systems (GSC) and also referred to as a ground cockpit.

You can build your own drone from scratch and create a unique, personalised gadget that is tailored to your requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE A DRONE?
The tools you need will largely depend on the type of drone you want to build, however, there are some key components that all drones require. These include:

Motors
Electronic speed control
Flight controller
The drone frame
Propellers
Batteries
Connectors
Camera (if you want to build your own camera drone)
Gimbal
A mounting pad
A micro SD card
An RC receiver

If you’re having trouble finding parts for your drone, websites such as RoboShop (https://www.robotshop.com/uk/uav-parts.html) and Hobby King(https://hobbyking.com/) stock all the components for drone building, as well as DIY kits with all the right equipment included.
